The Norfolk Tides have announced that Harbor Park will host the Baltimore Orioles and Washington Nationals in a Major League exhibition game on Friday, April 3 at 3:30 p.m. Ticket prices and sale date for the game will be announced at a future time.

“We are extremely thrilled that the Orioles and Nationals will be returning to Harbor Park this season” said Tides’ President Ken Young. “The game these two teams played here to kick off the 2007 season was a resounding success, and we are hoping to make this year’s contest even better. This is yet another example of how great the partnership between the Tides and Orioles has been.”

Baltimore and Washington previously met at Harbor Park prior to the start of the 2007 season, with the Orioles defeating the Nationals 6-5 in front of a sell-out crowd of 12,408 fans.

“We are excited to be back in Norfolk for this exhibition game,” said Greg Bader, Orioles Director of Communications. “We appreciate having the Tides as an affiliate and partner, and we look forward to playing again at beautiful Harbor Park.”

The Tides open their 2009 regular season on Thursday, April 9, with the home opener scheduled for Monday, April 20 against the Charlotte Knights.
