The ziMS Foundation in conjunction with the Washington Nationals have teamed together to provide a Dream Day for Kevin Eadie. Kevin is the former bat boy of the Peninsula Pilots. He served as bat boy when Ryan Zimmerman played for the Pilots in the summer of 2003. Kevin and Ryan made a natural connection due to their mutual love of baseball. Kevin received the status of Honorary Bat Boy from the Washington Nationals.
Many thanks go out to the Washington Nationals for embracing this special day. Because of their gracious support Kevin’s Dream Day was an unforgettable experience.

Local Schools support zims
Redlmill Elementary's Boys Reading club held a donut
sale to benefit ziMS Foundation. They raised $200.00.

Elementary along with the Boys
Reading Cub sponsored a donut sale to raise money for the ziMS Foundation.
The SCA at Linkhorn Park Elementary sponsored a school wide Penny War raising $1200.00 for the ziMS Foundation. The different grade levels competed against one another. Pennies were positive points (money) and silver coins and paper money went against a grade level's total. The competition lasted a week with the fourth grade being declared the champions. They are planning to do 2 Penny Wars next year.

2ND ANNUAL ziMS GOLF TOURNAMENT
The Second Annual Golf Tournament
November 9 – 10, 2007

ziMS Foundation hosted their
second annual golf tournament in Virginia Beach,
Virginia. This year was a weekend of events
which included a Friday night Gala at the Virginia
Aquarium. The Gala included both a Silent and Live
Auction as well as food, drinks, and dancing to Hot
Cakes Band. Saturday's golf was held at Eagle Haven Golf
Course located at the Naval Amphibian Base.
Congratulations to Atlantic Bay Mortgage the tournament
champions. This event raised approximately
of $80,000. Thanks to everyone who helped make this
event a huge success.

First Annual ziMS Golf Tournament

ziMS Foundation hosted their first golf tournament in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The tournament featured a round of golf , a silent auction, buffet dinner and a band following the golf. Congratulations to Bill Womble, David Gilliam, Ben Gilliam and Tanner Manley the tournament champions. This event raised in excess of $40,000 and $20,000 donated to the Hampton Roads Chapter of MS. Thanks to everyone who helped make this first event successful.
